After the latest changes in national guidelines:
It will now only be mandatory to wear a mask when caring for patients with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection (or other similarly transmitted infections) ie: if triaged and respiratory infection, you can request a patient to wear a face covering.
Masks are not required when providing care to patients under general face to face appointment
Unless the clinician or the patient chose to wear one as their preference.
Masks will not be required in non-clinical areas such as corridors, offices or communal spaces.
Face masks will remain at reception for staff or visitors who wish to use them.
