We have recently gained accreditation from Health Education England North West to host GP Speciality Trainees at the practice. These are qualified Junior Doctors who have completed at least two years training in a hospital and have now commenced their speciality training to become a GP.
We hosted our first trainee in August 2022.
Dr Hobman, Dr Brocklehurst and Dr Cufflin have completed their training to supervise first and second year GP Trainees.
Each trainee will complete a six month placement at the practice. As part of their training, we may ask for patient’s agreement for the communication part of the consultation to be recorded to aid their learning. This is completely voluntary and you may decline to have the consultation recorded without this having any impact upon your care. You wishes will be respected and all recorded consultations are deleted after review by the GP trainee and their Clinical Supervisors.
